Bellygong: Dance of Connection
With Rebecca Lucy Snyder

Cost: $20 in advance, $25 at the door

Experience multi-dimensional belly dance! This workshop offers traditional belly dance instruction plus chi gong inspired moving meditations, or "Bellygong".

Our dance form consists of powerful, ancient movements from various belly dance roots, including American tribal-style and cabaret, traditional Middle Eastern and Indian folkloric, plus contemporary folk fusions. This dance is an evolving community conversation bringing joy to the heart, strength and grace to the body, and confidence to the mind.

In the Bellygong training we incorporate the breath and focus on specific acupuncture points with our movements. We experience relaxation, better body awareness, and a current of healing connection with ourselves, our dance partners, the music and our world.

Together we will learn to move in a state of harmony that transforms. Come prepared to move and be moved!
